What you will do
- Define and implement the automation strategy for the Tunisia plant in alignment with global standards and business objectives
- Drive the automation roadmap across production, logistics, and supporting processes (Industry 4.0, IoT, data integration)
- Identify, prioritize, and implement automation and digitalization opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
- Lead automation projects from concept to implementation, including business case definition and ROI tracking
- Establish and further develop automation infrastructure (e.g. machine connectivity, data collection, MES integration) to ensure transparency and reliable KPIs
- Ensure stable and efficient operation of automated systems, including integration with maintenance and production
- Build, lead, and develop the local automation / industrial engineering / digitalization team
- Act as the technical authority for automation topics on site and drive capability building within the organization
- Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, quality, IT, and global engineering teams
- Standardize automation concepts, interfaces, and systems across the plant
- Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues related to automation, data systems, and machine interfaces
- Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, and training for sustainable system usage
What convinces us:
- University degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable
- Several years of professional experience in automation within a manufacturing environment (ideally automotive or high-volume production)
- Strong expertise in industrial automation
- Proven track record in implementing automation or digitalization projects in production environments

- Leadership experience in building or managing technical teams (Head / Lead level preferred)
- Ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and pragmatic mindset
- Intercultural competence and willingness to work in an international environment (Tunisia)
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Fluent in Arabic (mandatory), French is a plus
